Bioclimatic architecture at Nisargha in Bangalore

 

We stayed at a small boutique hotel called Nisargha in Bangalore that was designed by our architects, Jayakumar and Associates, with the same design concepts as we are using in Arjuntree One with the hollow bricks and all. We had our meetings in one of the rooms where the owner had set up a small table and some chairs for us. While it was around 36 degrees Celcius on the outside we could sit comfortably with just a small fan on in the room! Well, to really make a comparison we would have to sit in a rooms in that area with different construction designs. Here in Goa when the temperature goes above 30 degrees outside, it just gets unbearable to sit inside without an A/C ….. bioclimatic architecture does make a difference!
